He was born in Reggo Emilia in 1957.
From the wide sights of his first Appennine landscapes, heirs of the American tradition, his photographic course goes through a minimalistic research that singles out, cuts and explores apparently irrelevant Nature particulars, because he is not yet interersted in showing the visible, but instead the not-visible, or better what escapes our visual superficiality.
Faithful to a craftmanship production since his beginnings, in his creative course he ever believed as fundamental to personally develop and print his pictures, going from the baryta paper to the natural papers, prepared with silver chloro-bromide gelatine emulsion, both selenium toned.
At present he prints on platinum/palladiun sensitized paper.
He is member of Rodolfo Namias Group since 2009.
In 1999, he published his book Waiting the Enchantment, which presents more than ten years of work on the Reggiano Appennine landscape.
His works have been exhibited and are conserved in Italian and foreign Museums and public Institutions.
