Marco Mandrici lives and works in Civitavecchia.
He is taking pictures since the end of the seventies. From the beginnings he is fond of the B&W photography, which is practicising since then taking care himself of developing and printing.
In the course of the years, with the friends from Association "Cinefotografica Civitavecchia B.F.I." and of "Circolo Fotografico Laziale", he promotes many events and takes part to many photographic exhibitions.
Moving in a different direction from the main contemporary photographic trends, he undertook pinhole photography and this coming back to the origins led him to the knowledge and practice of the old photographic techniques, like gum bichromate. Its expressive and creative potential have been learned and adopted after the participation to a course held in Parma by Roberto Lagrasta.
