I got started taking interest into photography while I attended the State Art Institute in Naples during the ´70s. I developed a specific interest into manipolations and Alternative Techniques just when Ando Gilardi published the first edition of "Social history of Photography". The proto-photographers have been my first tutors and my preferred technique, by over ten years, is the carbon printing. The main objective, through my research, is the revisiting of the means to give life to new expressions without never falling into a pictorical image or technical virtuosity end in themselves. I am convinced that in the image and the strength of the look there are values which go over any photographic technique, and yet I feel very gained to that manuality which is necessary in the dark room to achieve the desired results.
